The Basques in Australia exhibition has opened in Madrid.
The exhibition looks at the migration process that, throughout the 20th century, took many Basques over 15,000 kilometers from their homes to Australia.
The retrospective is on display at the Madrileko Euskal Etxea (Hogar Vasco de Madrid) and was inaugurated by Australian Ambassador Rosemary Morris-Castico on Monday.
Basques in Australia has been organized by the Euskal Australiar Elkartea (Basque Australian Association) led by its president and Gudonya member Amaia Urberuaga.
It is on display at the Madrileko Euskal Etxea (Hogar Vasco de Madrid) on Calle Jovellanos 3 in Madrid from Monday to Saturday, 11:30 to 14:30 and 17:00 to 21:30.
The exhibition closes on 1 February 2025, entrance is free and it is open to the public.
